Just announced in Maclean's magazine: Affiliate faculty member and UTM history of religion professor Ken Derry is the recipient of a 2023 3M National Teaching Fellowship Award from the Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education. An associate professor in the teaching stream in the Department of Historical Studies, in 2022 he won U of T's highest teaching accolade, the President's Teaching Award.
The announcement notes Derry's being described as having ""a courageously caring" pedagogical approach, rooted in evidence-based practices and expressed in a joyful embrace of learning [that] exemplifies excellent teaching in the study of religion."
Many congratulations, Ken!
