Writing-Integrated Teaching (WIT) Program
Learning how to write effectively is one of the most important ‘transferable skills’ you can gain from university. Many of our courses at the Department for the Study of Religion (DSR) have benefitted from participation in the Writing-Integrated Teaching (WIT) initiative in A&S. In practice, this means that TAs are given extra hours specifically dedicated to helping you with producing written work. At the DSR, we tend to focus our WIT support on first- and second-year courses. RLG 200H1 (‘Study of Religion’), in particular, has been designated as a WIT course, in which the instructors and teaching assistants guide students through a series of regular writing assignments designed to build competence and confidence as writers.

English Language Learning (ELL) Program
The Faculty of Arts & Science offers English Language Learning (ELL) to support undergraduates whose first language is not English, as well as native speakers seeking to improve their English language skills. You can find more information on the program and courses available on the ELL website.
