MA Funding
Unfortunately, options for funding at the master’s level are rare and do not come with any guarantee in the terms of admission.
- Teaching Assistantships: These depend on the fluctuating enrollment figures for undergraduate courses.
- External Awards: For information about Canada Graduate Scholarships (Social Science and Humanities Research Council) or Ontario Graduate Scholarships, see the SSHRC and SGS-OGS websites.
- Work-Study positions: See the U of T careers website.
- Ontario students may qualify for the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP).
MA Tuition Fee Bursaries
These bursaries are available to full-time master’s students who must go beyond their initial registration period in order to complete a small amount of remaining work. Applications are available on the SGS website.
