COVID-19 and the DSR

COVID-19 and Shared Spaces at U of T

The SARS-CoV-2 virus continues to circulate, along with other respiratory viruses. In respecting people’s choices in the DSR’s shared spaces, we follow the University’s COVID-19 response policies and protocols. Those policies are shared again below. 

Screening: Individuals can monitor their health using the provincial health screening tool. Completing the provincial screening tool is encouraged before coming to campus. We continue to ask members of our community to remain at home if they are ill.

Masking: Masks are not required. The University supports your choice but does strongly encourage the use of masks. The use of a medical mask in high-density indoor spaces when physical distancing is not possible is strongly encouraged during the period when cases are rising in Ontario. Please also refer to Ch 6 of the COVID-19 General Workplace Guidelines.

Vaccination: To help keep U of T healthy from seasonal respiratory viruses, community members seeking COVID-19 and/or flu vaccinations can book appointments or find walk-in hours at local clinics across the Greater Toronto Area. → Up-to-date information on where and when you can get vaccinated, both on and off our campuses

The DSR strongly encourages the use of masks. This helps support those who are vulnerable or who are in contact with those who are vulnerable. To make this mitigation accessible to all, masks have been made available in our shared spaces.
