Biography
Emily Jane Pascoe is a PhD candidate in the Department for the Study of Religion in collaboration with the Anne Tanenbaum Centre for Jewish Studies. She holds a Bachelors in Philosophy from Glendon College, York University and a Masters in the Study of Religion and Jewish Studies from the University of Toronto. Her dissertation focuses on psychoanalytic and critical theory approaches to authoritarianism (with particular emphasis on the writings of Freud, Adorno, Horkheimer, and Benjamin) and the ways in which social domination is internalized and reproduced in everyday life.
