Biography
Joy is a doctoral student in the Department for the Study of Religion in collaboration with the Centre for Diaspora & Transnational Studies. She first began ethnographically studying Christian cultural formations and religious self-fashioning in Lebanon while completing a MA in Public Policy and International Affairs and a second MA in Anthropology at the American University of Beirut. Joy is interested in exploring intergenerational expressions of religiosity and their material and cultural shifts within both local and diasporic communities.
